Lake Grove became an incorporated village in 1968, just as Smith Haven Mall was being built, and much of its housing comes from that era of growth in central Brookhaven. High ranches, split-levels, ranches and Colonials line streets that were cut through wooded land, with larger newer homes mixed in. Many of those houses are now fifty years old or more, and original gutters, fascia and leaders are reaching the end of their service life. Oaks and other trees left standing when the neighborhoods were built now drop heavy leaf loads. Replacing worn gutters, protecting the eaves and making sure roof water leaves the property properly keeps these homes in good shape.
Middle Country Road (Route 25) and Nesconset Highway (Route 347) are the main roads through Lake Grove, a Town of Brookhaven village bordered by Lake Ronkonkoma, Nesconset and St. James. Its name comes from nearby Lake Ronkonkoma, the largest freshwater lake on Long Island and a glacial kettle lake. About half of the Smith Haven Mall sits inside village limits, and the Village of Lake Grove runs its own Village Hall on Hawkins Avenue. Away from the main roads, high ranches, split-levels, ranches and Colonials line streets cut through wooded land, many still shaded by the oaks left standing when they were built. From the side streets off Route 25 to the neighborhoods near Route 347, we replace and service seamless gutters across Lake Grove.
Lake Grove's aging high ranches and split-levels often need new seamless gutters along with fascia replacement, aluminum trim-coil capping and vented vinyl soffit. Island Gutters fabricates 5-inch K-style or its recommended 6-inch half-round on site. Alcoa Leaf Relief guards suit homes under mature oaks. Hand-dug extension tails and leach basins carry leader water away without heavy equipment. Commercial properties along Middle Country Road can use 6-inch K-style.

Lake Grove is an incorporated village with its own building department, so village rules apply rather than only the Town of Brookhaven's. Simple gutter replacement may not require much, but drainage or other exterior work could. Check with the Village of Lake Grove before starting, and Island Gutters can provide product details if needed.
Homes of that age commonly have leaking sectional gutters, soft fascia boards and poorly vented soffits. Island Gutters replaces fascia, caps trim with aluminum coil, installs vented vinyl soffit and fits new seamless gutters fabricated on site. The gutter installation carries a 25-year warranty covering materials and labor.
Yes. Leaders can be tied into underground pipe that runs to a leach basin, or into extension tails that release water farther from the house and driveway. Island Gutters digs this drainage by hand, which protects lawns, pavers and irrigation. The company has installed more than 1,000 systems across Long Island.
Yes. Island Gutters works on commercial buildings as well as homes and offers 6-inch K-style gutters for higher-capacity needs. Seamless runs are fabricated on site, and contractors can use the drop-off fabrication service. Galvanized, Galvalume and copper are available in addition to Alcoa aluminum.
